Jennifer Hahneman - General Manager
Jennifer is back for her third year as General Manager of Driftwood Cabana Club.
She has a diversified background in accounting, restaurant/banquet management, and construction as well as other hidden talents.
Jenn also runs Driftwood Catering and is there from booking a party right through running the function. Jenn is a local resident
with her 12 year old son Nikalus, who loves to swim,boogie board, and of course, surf. She is looking forward to being back this
season. She’s just glad the summer is back along with the warm weather and all our members. It has been a long winter!
George Beyer - Food & Beverage / Operational Manager
George returns to Driftwood for a fifth season. He brings with him a renewed enthusiasm to elevate the Driftwood experience
for members and guests alike. As manager of Operations, he will focus on creating excellent culinary delights from the Sea Horse Cafe,
a very delicious tiki bar season and seamless problem solving for all of your operational /club concerns. George and his family look
forward to a fun-filled 2006 Season!
Jim Kelleher - Head Lifeguard
Jim returns to Driftwood as Head Lifeguard for his fifth season. Jim has over 20 years experience as a lifeguard. Jim hopes to
continue to develop his staff so our members and guests can enjoy are facilities in a friendly, fun and safe environment.
When Jim is not at the club he enjoys spending time with his wife Suzy and their three children Casey, Travis and Dylan
(at the beach of course). Jim is looking forward to creating an atmosphere that allows the members, children and adults alike to
enjoy all that Driftwood has to offer.
Maryjane Gallo - Head Swim Team Coach / Swim Instructor
We welcome Maryjane to the Driftwood Cabana Club as the new head coach of the Seahorses.
Maryjane comes to us with a long history of swimming and athletics. She is a native of Monmouth County and veteran swimmer of
Ship Ahoy and the YMCA in her youth. An All- American Collegiate swimmer, Maryjane enjoyed competing in triathalons after college
during the pioneer days of the sport.Presently, Maryjane is a 7th and 8th grade teacher at Holy Cross School in Rumson.
In addition to teaching she coaches the school’s cross country team.She has previously coached at RBC, YMCA, and Central
Jersey Aquatic Club. Maryjane looks forward to joining our team and developing t he swim program.
Emphasis will be placed on the proper stroke mechanics, sportsmanship,discipline and most importantly “FUN”!
Meghan Rooney - Assistant Swim Team Coach
Meghan joins the Driftwood Cabana Club this year also. She is Maryjane’s daughter.
Meghan is a former YMCA, RBC and Ship Ahoy swimmer. She has just completed her freshman year at the College of Notre Dame in
Baltimore where she is a member of the swim team. A diverse swimmer, Meghan swam free style sprints along with the 200 Butterfly
and the 400 Individual Medley. Meghan brings youth enthusiasm and creativity to our swim team.
Nina Byard - Swim Instructor
Nina joins the Driftwood Cabana Club for her first year as a swim instructor.She has coached and taught swim lessons at the
YMCA and JCC. She has swam on 4 different competitive teams including Somerset Valley and Fanwood YMCA.
